Each year Professor Daniels accompanies students from Washington College to the Model African Union in Washington, D.C. Three-hundred students from around the country gather for this Model in order to simulate the proceedings of the African Union and to learn more about African development issues. The Model offers students a unique opportunity to engage in debates, learn about diplomacy, understand the problems facing Africa, and visit with diplomats from embassies in Washington.
